Glow is the embodiment of the passion, care and commitment of Sara Lyon; founder, massage therapist, doula and birth educator. Glow started in 2010 as a cozy treatment room in Oakland, California. Since then, Glow has blossomed into a sophisticatedly beautiful space that’s become a highly sought after massage experience and birth support for women nationally.

As our family of massage therapists, birth educators and doulas has grown, we’ve been welcomed into the homes and lives of thousands of women, and we look forward to bringing that support to women across the country as we expand. Sara Lyon

A SoCal native, Sara graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in sociology. Sara holds diplomas in orthopedic massage, prenatal massage and Shiatsu.

The founder of Glow, Sara brings her passion and rich experience as a doula, childbirth educator and mother to all pre and postnatal women seeking support for the growing needs of their minds and bodies.

GERRI Asuncion

Gerri brings over 25 years of massage experience to our clients from her time practicing in Maui and the Bay Area. Her certification and education is just as rich - Gerri is a Certified Massage Therapist & Health Educator from NHI, a Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, a certified Doula and holds a specialized certificate in advanced prenatal massage.

Gerri offers a combination of massage modalities including Lomi, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Sports and Swedish. Her massage style is firm and nurturing.

I LOVE This work because... 

Birth and mommy-hood is something that I won’t experience for myself, so I feel blessed to be around that energy and to nurture new moms and moms to be. 


Hiking in the Oakland hills, drinking red wine in the sunshine and dancing outdoors whenever possible.

Ereene Belamide

Ereene has been practicing massage since 2007. She infuses her intention to help clients’ energy flow freely throughout their bodies into her blended approach of deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology and acupressure massage.

Ereene holds a BA from San Francisco State University, is a NHI certified massage therapist in deep tissue and pre/post-natal massage and is currently studying Occupational Therapy. A Bay Area native, she enjoys being active and brings her passion for wellness to her work. Her massage style is deep and nurturing.

Avoa p henry

Avoa Brings 15 years’ experience in massage and spa treatment services to the Bay Area. Born in Honolulu, Avoa is a graduate of Dominican University in Woman’s Studies and World religion and a certified hypnotherapist. 

Using diverse massage and spiritual modalities, including prenatal massage, energy work, deep tissue technique, sports massage, and Lomi-Lomi massage to achieve mind-body connection, healing and relaxation. Avoa has worked with women in pregnancy and birth throughout her career. Her massage style is very deep and flowing.

It makes me feel proud that I am able to provide support, respect, compassion and kindness to women during an important moment in their lives as they usher a new little light in to the world.

Cliona Nolan

Cliona’s massage therapy practice specializes in deep tissue massage, incorporating Swedish, shiatsu, reflexology and neuromuscular reprogramming. After garnering her Associates Degree & Teaching Certification, Cliona trained at the Alive and Well School of Body Work in Neuro Muscular Reprogramming and secured her CAADAC Certification from Cal State East Bay.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Cliona's longtime practice has served a range of populations in need of massage therapy, including elderly clients, physically and developmentally disabled adults, and  pregnant and postpartum mothers. Her massage style is very deep and slow.

It makes me so fully aware of the strength and power of women and their perfectly designed bodies, I feel totally in awe of each and every woman I've had the privilege to work on.


Swimming in rivers with my children, hiking as much as possible, and indulging in beautiful desserts. (I also love to indulge in British television programs!)

Tara Walsh

After earning her BA in Communications in her native state of Minnesota, Tara moved to California to secure her Massage Therapy Certification from California Healing Arts College.

Tara has worked as Certified Massage Therapist for over 10 years, integrating Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oscillation and Reflexology techniques into her practice. Tara, her husband, two sons and adorable dog live in Pleasant Hill, CA. Her massage style is deep and nurturing.

I'm a mom who has been through it and I love the excitement that parents have awaiting the arrival of their newest family member.  Being one of their many caregivers along the way is so gratifying.

Adelle hintz

Adelle began her study of massage and bodywork in 2009, in Portland Oregon, graduating from East West College of the Healing Arts. As an avid cyclist with a background in martial arts & yoga, she moved to  Oakland California in 2013, in search of blue skies and sunshine. 

Adelle brings her specialization in Therapeutic Massage, Sports Massage and Deep Relaxation to her prenatal clients, in addition to using her combined training in Western and Eastern modalities that include Acupressure and Swedish Massage techniques. Her massage style is deep and nurturing.

Medjula Rose

Medjula Rose

Growing up in a household of birth professionals, Medjula has been surrounded by women’s healthcare her entire life. She has worked with mothers and babies in different capacities, including as a postpartum doula.

Medjula is a graduate of the San Francisco School of Massage, and continues to assist them in teaching massage therapy courses. Medjula uses a combination of swedish, trigger point, and deep tissue massage. She is passionate about treating discomfort with kindness and curiosity, and not skipping over the pleasure that still exists alongside it. Her massage style is deep and flowing. 


Working to support women in their pregnancy & birth makes me feel so much care and respect for this resilient, powerful, and vulnerable time in a person's life. 


Working in my garden, finding a beach, river or lake to swim in, singing around the fire in my backyard, and going out salsa dancing.

Koko Radford

Koko radford

Mariko “Koko” Radford grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Graduating in 2005 with over 1500 hours of bodywork education, Koko brings rich and diverse experience to her massage practice. She specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, Lomo-Lomi, prenatal massage and reflexology.

In addition to massage therapy, Koko has studied meditation and yoga for 10 years and is a certified Reiki master. Koko is currently pursuing a BSN in nursing en route to a certification in nurse midwifery. Koko volunteers in the Hearts and Hands Doula program, supporting moms in the East Bay. Her massage style is deep and flowing.


Women deserve support and compassion while bringing life into the world. I am humbled and awestruck by the sacred power of pregnancy and birth.

Amanda Kessner

Amanda is a DONA certified, internationally trained Birth and Postpartum Doula. Amanda views birth as a sacred process and she brings that reverence to the support she offers women throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

She volunteers her Doula services at San Francisco General Hospital and the Homeless Prenatal Program, and is a member of the Swiss Cheese Childcare Collective and Imeinu Doulas. Amanda, a Marin County native, holds BA degrees in both Feminist Studies and Community Studies from the University of California.

I LOVE This work because...  

It makes me feel energized; this kind of holistic care leaves the mother and her family stronger.

Britt urban

After completing a world circumnavigation by sail in 2011, Britt's priorities were clear and she finally decided to dive into her passion for birth work. Beyond happy she did! Now a DONA trained and experienced birth/postpartum doula, Britt works with a wide variety of clients, and our community at large, to assure that each mama and partner have the best continuous support throughout the entire prenatal, labor and postnatal stages. Britt always works with zero judgement or agenda for each family with the goal being to help nurture an informed, empowered and positive whole birth experience.

It makes me feel empowered; I get to witness women giving so much strength and love to bring a new little human into the world!

Susi galloso

Susi fell in love with doula work after assisting her cousin's first birth. She's been a certified doula through DONA since 2010, and has completed Heart & Hands Midwifery Intensive and Heart & Hands Advanced workshops, in addition to training with the Cornerstone Doulas.

In learning how to help mothers she also wanted them to be comfortable before and after their pregnancy, so she attended Carol Osborne's Pre and Postnatal massage training, and the Infant Massage Educator training through IAIM.


It makes me feel grateful to have the opportunity to help new parents feel confident on this journey.

Myra Julian 

Myra is a Certified Postpartum Doula through Cornerstone Doula Trainings and a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, with a background in massage therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Myra specializes in working with twins and triplets.

Myra empowers parents in unexpected ways by providing support for the entire family, easing the transformational transition of adding a new family member.

Helping parents create a strong foundation, and providing them with the tools to help them feel empowered reminds me of the importance of community .

Hilah Zohar

Hilah brings us over three decades of rich and diverse experience as a Massage Therapist and perinatal specialist. Hilah serves as a Birth Doula for the past 10 years and Postpartum Recovery Specialist for the past 5 years. 

She is a graduate of San Francisco College of Acupuncture with a focus on traditional Chinese Medicine and NHI in Certified Massage. A life-long Bay Area resident, Hilah currently resides in Berkeley, CA.
